Welcome to the website of BWY Scotland!

Our wish is that this website is a living and breathing resource for the benefit of BWY members and the wider yoga community in Scotland.

The British Wheel of Yoga (BWY) was established in 1965 and is the largest yoga organisation in Britain. It is a member of the European Union of Yoga and plays a leading role in yoga teacher training and accreditation. Its aims are:

To encourage and help all persons to a greater knowledge and understanding of all aspects of yoga and its practice by provision of study, education and training.

To maintain and improve the standard of teaching of yoga.

To co-operate with and support other organisations having similar aims.

The BWY is divided into twelve geographical regions, one of which is the Scotland region. On this website you will find information about the BWY Scotland Committee and you are welcome to get in touch with any of the friendly committee members.

The News page provides up-to-date news and information about regional activities. Elsewhere you will find details of In-Service Training days, BWY Courses and other Events. A list of BWY teachers and classes in Scotland is provided on the Classes page.

If you have any queries or comments about the website, or would like to make a submission, please contact the Webmaster. We welcome your contributions.
