Class listings will no longer be posted on our regional website. You can find information about BWY classes in your area at http://www.bwy.org.uk/find-a-teacher-class/. Yoga teachers should update their class details by logging into their Member’s Page on the main BWY website.

Welcome to the website of BWY Scotland!

Our wish is that this website is a living and breathing resource for the benefit of BWY members and the wider yoga community in Scotland.

The British Wheel of Yoga (BWY) was established in 1965 and is the largest yoga organisation in Britain. It provides a voice in the UK, dedicated to promoting yoga teachers, students and members within a professional and inspiring union.

The BWY is divided into twelve geographical regions, one of which is the Scotland region. On this website you will find information about the BWY Scotland Committee and you are welcome to get in touch with any of the friendly committee members.

First Aid Training

An Emergency First Aid at Work training day is being held in Edinburgh on Sunday 2nd October.

Courses

Janet Reid is running a TSYP Introductory Course in Fife, commencing in February 2017.

The BWY Pregnancy Yoga Module starts in Glasgow in March, with Judy Cameron as the tutor. In autumn 2017 Sandra Cook will be offering the BWY Yoga Teaching Diploma in the North East, with Induction Days taking place in the spring.

In-Service Training

Johnny Glover is leading a day in Glasgow on the 29th of October. Further details are on the BWY Events page

Our IST programme for 2017 includes tutors Maureen McCarthy, Sandra Cook, Carol Price and Philip Xerri. The days are now listed on the BWY Events page - more information and booking details will be given in due course, but you can note the dates in your diary now!

AGM

The 2016 AGM will take place in Glasgow on the 29th of October, in conjunction with the IST day with Johnny Glover. There will be further details nearer the time.

Upcoming Events

Ali Freeman will be giving seminars for the Grampian Yoga Association on the 1st and 2nd of October. Also on the 2nd October, Connie McCreath is leading a workshop in Forres.

On the 8th of October John Stirk is teaching in Edinburgh and on the 16th, there will be a Tayside Yoga Association seminar in Dundee with Nadine Watton.
